2026-Jan. Spotlight: Julian Johnson


Introducing Julian Johnson, DMD.


Dr. Julian Johnson is a highly accomplished Endodontist with an impressive academic and professional background. Originally from Sierra Leone, Dr. Johnson began his educational journey at the Sierra Leone Grammar School in Freetown. He initially pursued Engineering at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, before relocating to the United States to advance his academic and professional aspirations.


In the United States, Dr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, a prestigious Ivy League institution.


Following dental school, Dr. Johnson completed a General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he developed a strong clinical foundation. He further specialized in Endodontics at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, solidifying his expertise in advanced root canal therapy and complex endodontic procedures. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Johnson actively engages in continuing education to remain at the forefront of advancements in endodontics.


He is a proud member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. Johnson is a licensed Endodontist in New York, New Jersey, and Georgia.

 
 

The Sierra Leone Grammar School was founded on 25th March 1845 as Church Missionary Society (C.M.S.) Grammar School - the first secondary school in Sub-Saharan Africa. The school started with 14 pupils, drawn from students of Fourah Bay College and was housed at Regent Square in a massive building which still exists.
